CS ‑ Business Email vs Login as Customer: Supportfor Shopify (2026)
CS ‑ Business Email and Login as Customer: Support both aim to improve merchant support capabilities but address entirely different aspects. CS ‑ Business Email focuses on improving the professionalism and organization of email communication by providing custom domain email addresses and integrated management within the Shopify admin. It strengthens branding and facilitates organized customer interactions with features like spam filters and email forwarders. On the other hand, Login as Customer: Support tackles the challenge of assisting customers by allowing direct access to their accounts, enabling merchants to troubleshoot, place orders, and guide customers in real-time. This is for faster resolution and a hands-on support approach, especially when customer-reported issues are difficult to understand remotely. While both apps are listed under the 'Support - Other' category, their core functionality and target audiences diverge significantly. CS ‑ Business Email is geared towards merchants wanting to enhance their brand image and streamline email communication. Login as Customer: Support is ideal for merchants needing to provide rapid, hands-on customer support by directly interacting with their customers' accounts. The choice between the two hinges on whether the priority is professional email management or immediate customer issue resolution through account access. Both apps also vary greatly in their development maturity. CS ‑ Business Email has a perfect rating but only three reviews, suggesting a very new or lightly used app. Login as Customer: Support has slightly fewer stars, but more than double the reviews, indicating a larger user base and potentially a more established product, although there may be more reported edge-cases.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily focused on establishing a professional brand image and streamlining email communication, CS ‑ Business Email is the better choice. Its custom domain email addresses and integrated management tools provide a cohesive and organized approach to customer interactions. However, the very low number of reviews is a cause for caution and further investigation of the app's reliability would be advised. If a merchant's primary goal is to provide faster, more hands-on customer support by directly accessing and troubleshooting customer accounts, Login as Customer: Support is the superior option. Its account access feature streamlines the support process and enables real-time assistance. The more substantial review count offers greater confidence in the app's utility, even with the slightly lower rating, although the rating still remains positive.
Common Questions
Which app is better for a new store just starting to build its brand?

Which app is more likely to require developer assistance for setup and configuration?
