CS ‑ Export Product Images vs Sherpas: Smart SEOfor Shopify (2026)
CS ‑ Export Product Images and Sherpas: Smart SEO, while both listed under 'Images and media' in the Shopify app store, serve fundamentally different purposes for merchants. CS ‑ Export Product Images is a utility app designed to streamline the process of exporting product images in bulk. Its focus is purely on image management, providing features for filtering, naming, and downloading images based on various criteria such as status, collection, date, and vendor. It's geared towards merchants who need efficient control over their product visuals for backups, marketing campaigns, or other external use cases. Sherpas: Smart SEO, on the other hand, is a comprehensive SEO optimization app aimed at improving a store's search engine rankings and driving organic traffic. Sherpas: Smart SEO offers a broad suite of tools including meta tag generation, image optimization, page speed enhancement, broken link detection, and backlink analysis. It aims to simplify complex SEO tasks and automate mundane ones, targeting merchants who want to improve their website's discoverability and attract more customers through search engines. While it touches on image optimization as part of its overall SEO strategy, its primary goal is not bulk image export, but rather improving the performance and ranking of images within the context of the website.
