Custom & Draft Orders For POS vs MyGLS Professionalfor Shopify (2026)
Custom & Draft Orders For POS and MyGLS Professional, while both categorized under 'Orders' in the Shopify app store, cater to vastly different merchant needs. Custom & Draft Orders For POS addresses a specific pain point within Shopify POS, allowing merchants to create, manage, and integrate custom and draft orders directly within the POS interface. Its strength lies in streamlining in-person sales by bridging the gap between custom orders and the point-of-sale system. MyGLS Professional, conversely, focuses on shipping and fulfillment, specifically for merchants using GLS (General Logistics Systems), particularly in Eastern Europe. It offers features like label printing, parcel shop integration, and automated order tracking. The key difference lies in their functionalities: Custom & Draft Orders For POS enhances in-person order management, while MyGLS Professional optimizes shipping logistics. Custom & Draft Orders For POS appears geared towards brick-and-mortar businesses or those with a strong in-person sales component needing advanced order customization within their POS workflow. MyGLS Professional is intended for online stores or those with a significant shipping volume utilizing GLS, emphasizing efficient label generation and parcel delivery management. The difference in review count also suggests a broader adoption or longer market presence of MyGLS Professional, indicating a more mature solution for its target audience.

Our Verdict
Merchants should select Custom & Draft Orders For POS if their primary need revolves around simplifying the creation and management of draft and custom orders directly within the Shopify POS system. This is especially beneficial for businesses handling frequent custom orders or modifications during in-person sales.
On the other hand, MyGLS Professional is the superior choice for merchants who heavily rely on GLS for their shipping needs, particularly those operating in Eastern Europe. Its focus on unlimited label printing, parcel shop integration, and automated tracking provides a comprehensive solution for streamlining the shipping process and managing GLS deliveries. Choosing the right app depends entirely on whether the business needs to improve their POS order management or their GLS shipping workflow.
