Customer Pulse vs Zigpoll Customer Surveysfor Shopify (2026)
Customer Pulse and Zigpoll Customer Surveys both target Shopify merchants seeking customer insights through surveys. However, they differ significantly in user adoption and feature breadth. Customer Pulse focuses on post-purchase surveys with real-time tracking and analytics, appealing to merchants primarily concerned with understanding recent buyer experiences. Zigpoll Customer Surveys, on the other hand, offers a more comprehensive suite of survey options, including pre-purchase, on-site, email, and SMS surveys, complemented by AI analytics. This wider range caters to merchants looking for a holistic approach to data collection across the customer journey, from initial browsing to post-purchase satisfaction. The most significant difference lies in the established user base and associated feedback. Zigpoll boasts a high rating and hundreds of reviews, providing potential users with a degree of confidence in its reliability and effectiveness. Customer Pulse, lacking any reviews, presents a higher risk for merchants, although it might be suitable for early adopters willing to experiment. Zigpoll's support for multilingual surveys and abandoned cart recovery further distinguishes it, positioning it as a more robust solution for businesses operating internationally or prioritizing cart recovery strategies. Customer Pulse's simplicity might appeal to merchants needing basic post-purchase feedback without complex features or integrations.

Our Verdict
For most Shopify merchants in 2026, Zigpoll Customer Surveys is the clear recommendation due to its high rating, substantial user base, comprehensive feature set, and proven compatibility with the Shopify ecosystem. Its ability to gather insights throughout the customer journey and leverage AI for analytics provides a significant advantage. The multilingual support and abandoned cart recovery further enhance its value.
Customer Pulse might be considered only by merchants specifically looking for a very basic and potentially free post-purchase survey solution and are willing to take a risk on an app with no user reviews. It could be a viable option for those with extremely simple needs and who don't require advanced features, integrations, or robust analytics. However, the lack of social proof makes it a less attractive option than Zigpoll.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Both apps claim easy setup, but Zigpoll's 'no-code setup' combined with a large user base suggests a smoother experience compared to Customer Pulse, which provides no specific details about setup complexity and lacks user feedback.
Which app offers better analytics?
Zigpoll offers AI analytics, suggesting more sophisticated data processing and insights compared to Customer Pulse's 'real-time' tracking, which likely provides basic reporting.
Which app is more suitable for international stores?
Zigpoll's multilingual support makes it significantly more suitable for stores serving customers in multiple languages, while Customer Pulse lacks any mention of localization features.
Which app is better for understanding the pre-purchase experience?
Zigpoll supports pre-purchase surveys, allowing merchants to understand customer behavior before a purchase is made. Customer Pulse focuses solely on post-purchase insights.
Is Zigpoll worth the cost compared to Customer Pulse?
While pricing isn't provided for either app, Zigpoll's comprehensive feature set, high rating, and user reviews suggest a higher value proposition. If the budget allows, Zigpoll is likely a better investment due to its proven track record and wider range of capabilities.
