Customify ‑ Custom Product App vs Smart Size Chart & Size Guidefor Shopify (2026)
Customify - Custom Product App and Smart Size Chart & Size Guide, while sharing the 'Custom products, Product variants' categories on Shopify, cater to distinctly different needs. Customify focuses on empowering customers to personalize products through a drag-and-drop interface, real-time previews, and image uploads, aiming to boost conversions for print-on-demand stores and similar businesses. Its core value proposition revolves around enabling customers to create unique, custom items. In contrast, Smart Size Chart & Size Guide helps customers find the right size, thereby reducing returns and increasing sales. Smart Size Chart & Size Guide emphasizes highly customizable, brand-aligned size charts that are mobile-responsive and support multiple languages. This app prioritizes seamless integration into a store's design and enhancing the overall customer experience by providing clear and accurate sizing information. It doesn't offer product customization, instead focusing on a single pain point: preventing returns stemming from sizing issues. Therefore, the selection hinges entirely on a merchant's primary objective: driving sales through product personalization or reducing returns through clear size guidance.

Our Verdict
If your primary goal is to enable customers to design and personalize products, thereby increasing conversion rates and offering unique items, Customify - Custom Product App is the better choice. Its drag-and-drop interface and real-time previews are designed for businesses focused on customization. Conversely, if you're looking to minimize returns by providing accurate and stylish size guides for clothing, shoes, or other items where sizing is crucial, then Smart Size Chart & Size Guide is the superior solution. Its focus on customizable, multi-lingual size charts directly addresses the issue of sizing discrepancies and reduces customer dissatisfaction.
Neither app is inherently 'better' – they are designed for distinct business needs. Merchants offering customizable goods should strongly consider Customify. Retailers selling items where size is a key factor need to consider Smart Size Chart. In many cases, a Shopify store may benefit from utilizing *both* if they sell both customizable *and* size-sensitive products.
