Our Verdict
For merchants primarily focused on expanding their email and SMS marketing lists during checkout while ensuring legal compliance across different regions, Dataships Checkout Opt-in appears to be the superior choice, given its focus on dynamic consent and the positive reviews. Conversely, if a merchant's main priority is to improve customer service and streamline agent workflows through multi-channel communication and real-time Shopify data access, Heymarket SMS is the better option. However, the significantly lower rating and limited reviews for Heymarket should prompt caution and further investigation before making a decision. The volume of reviews for Dataships makes it a more reliable selection based on the data provided.
