Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with rapidly expanding their email and SMS marketing lists while ensuring regulatory compliance during the checkout process, Dataships Checkout Opt‑in is the better choice. Its dedicated features and focus on dynamic consent make it a specialized and potentially easier-to-use solution.
However, if a merchant requires a comprehensive CRM platform to manage customer data, automate marketing workflows across multiple channels, and build a loyalty program, Splio: Marketing Automation is the more suitable option, assuming they are willing to invest in setting up and managing a more complex system. The lack of reviews for Splio does introduce some uncertainty. Merchants should proceed with caution and potentially seek testimonials or trial periods before committing.
