Our Verdict
For merchants primarily needing to issue large numbers of gift cards for promotions, rewards programs, or general store credit, Datora | Bulk Gift Cards provides a practical and efficient solution. Its focus on automation and bulk generation makes it well-suited for handling significant gift card volumes. However, for merchants aiming to leverage gifting as a strategic sales and marketing tool, particularly to attract new customers and increase Average Order Value (AOV), Ribbon | Gifting offers a more compelling and innovative approach. The ability to gift specific products and upsell during the redemption process creates a richer gifting experience that can drive significant revenue growth and customer acquisition. While Ribbon has a significantly higher rating with a similar number of reviews, the best app depends on the core gifting need of the merchant.
