DB Back To Top vs Search & Discovery ‑ Viselyfor Shopify (2026)
DB Back To Top and Search & Discovery ‑ Visely, while sharing the 'Search and Navigation' and 'Navigation and Menus' categories on Shopify, address drastically different aspects of the user experience. DB Back To Top focuses on a singular, simple feature: a button that allows users to quickly return to the top of a page. It targets merchants seeking to improve basic site navigation with a minimal effort, particularly those using the Debutify theme, but explicitly states compatibility with 'any' Shopify theme. The key strength lies in its claimed simplicity and ease of integration, offering a quick win for enhancing the browsing experience. This positions it well for stores looking for basic usability improvements. Visely, on the other hand, is a much more comprehensive solution. Visely targets larger stores or those experiencing issues with search functionality and product discovery. It aims to enhance the overall shopping experience through advanced search capabilities, tailored filters, recommendations, and personalization features. With 34 reviews averaging 5/5, it comes with a strong social proof of its effectiveness. Visely is clearly aimed at merchants who are facing issues in product discovery by site visitors, and are looking for a more advanced search-based solution to address their issues. It's a broader investment in improving search conversion, and user engagement, while DB Back To Top is a very focused solution on a simple UX enhancement.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a simple and quick way to improve the browsing experience by adding a 'back to top' button, DB Back To Top may seem appealing, however the lack of reviews and zero rating is very concerning and should cause potential users to proceed with great caution. It focuses on a single, limited function, but can be a quick and easy fix for stores needing basic navigation improvement. Visely, on the other hand, is the superior choice for merchants experiencing issues with product discoverability, search relevancy, and overall user engagement. It offers a comprehensive suite of features designed to improve the customer journey and drive sales through better search and filtering capabilities.
Given the substantial difference in features and customer feedback (ratings and reviews), Visely is the stronger recommendation overall for merchants serious about optimizing their online store's search and navigation. The zero rating for DB Back to Top suggests potential issues or a complete lack of user adoption that needs to be addressed.
