DHL Express (Official) vs Shipping & Delivery ‑ ShipZipfor Shopify (2026)
DHL Express (Official) and Shipping & Delivery ‑ ShipZip cater to vastly different shipping needs. DHL Express focuses on simplifying international shipping for merchants already using DHL Express services. Its strength lies in automating order import, providing live rates at checkout, and handling customs clearance, aiming to streamline international logistics. Conversely, ShipZip empowers merchants to create complex and customized shipping rules based on product characteristics, customer location, and delivery date. It excels at handling granular shipping requirements, especially for local delivery and businesses needing fine-grained control over shipping costs. ShipZip's higher rating (5/5 from 350 reviews compared to DHL Express's 3.2/5 from 18 reviews) suggests greater user satisfaction, likely due to its flexibility in setting shipping rates. However, the limited number of reviews for DHL Express means the rating could be more volatile and not fully representative. While DHL Express offers automation for international shipping, ShipZip prioritizes customization and control over shipping costs and options for a broader range of delivery scenarios, particularly those involving local or regional fulfillment.

Our Verdict
For merchants heavily reliant on international shipping with DHL Express, the DHL Express (Official) app offers a streamlined solution. Its integration with DHL's services and automation features can significantly reduce the administrative burden. However, given the low rating and few reviews, it would be wise to investigate recent customer feedback to assess current performance and support quality.
On the other hand, Shipping & Delivery ‑ ShipZip is a better choice for merchants needing highly customized shipping rules, particularly those offering local delivery, store pickup, or products with varying shipping costs based on specific attributes. The high rating and large number of reviews suggest a reliable and effective solution, although setting up the complex rules may require more initial configuration.
Common Questions

The description focuses on international shipping. It is unlikely to offer the advanced local delivery features of ShipZip, such as time slots and delivery date scheduling.
Which app is better for a small business with limited resources?
