Digital Sales Bell & Counter vs Ting ‑ Slack Notificationsfor Shopify (2026)
Digital Sales Bell & Counter and Ting ‑ Slack Notifications both aim to improve order visibility for Shopify merchants, but they approach the problem from vastly different angles. Digital Sales Bell & Counter focuses on gamifying sales tracking by providing a visually engaging, customizable digital counter that celebrates each order with sound and on-screen display, fostering team motivation. Ting ‑ Slack Notifications, on the other hand, prioritizes streamlined communication and data accessibility by delivering order notifications and reports directly to Slack channels, facilitating real-time monitoring and team awareness within the existing workflow. The primary difference lies in their delivery method and focus. Digital Sales Bell & Counter is designed for businesses that want a visible, auditory cue for each sale, creating a celebratory environment within the workspace, while Ting ‑ Slack Notifications targets teams that primarily communicate and manage workflows through Slack. The low review count for Digital Sales Bell & Counter, despite its 5-star rating, suggests it might be a newer or niche app compared to Ting's higher review volume, even with the matching 5-star ratings. This may also indicate a more experimental or untested solution versus Ting's likely stability and support.

Our Verdict
For businesses looking to create a fun, motivating sales environment with visual and auditory cues, Digital Sales Bell & Counter is the better choice, particularly if they value having a physical display to celebrate each sale. However, its newness and low review count warrant caution. Ting ‑ Slack Notifications is the more practical option for teams already using Slack as their primary communication hub. Its ease of use, higher review count, and focus on delivering detailed order information within a familiar environment make it a reliable choice for efficient order tracking and team awareness. Ultimately, the best app depends on the team's communication style and the desired level of engagement with sales data.
