DPO Dynamic Product Options vs Quick Quotefor Shopify (2026)
DPO Dynamic Product Options and Quick Quote are both well-rated Shopify apps (5/5), but they cater to different needs within the Pricing category. DPO Dynamic Product Options, judging by its name, focuses on allowing merchants to offer customizable product variations, potentially impacting pricing based on selected options. Quick Quote, on the other hand, provides a direct quote request and management system, enabling customers to submit a list of desired products from their cart for a custom price. Quick Quote emphasizes direct communication and negotiation between the merchant and customer. Therefore, DPO likely targets merchants selling products with numerous configurable options, while Quick Quote targets merchants dealing with bulk orders, custom projects, or situations where negotiated pricing is standard. A significant difference lies in the number of reviews, where DPO Dynamic Product Options has a considerably larger user base based on the 290 reviews compared to Quick Quote's 56. This might suggest DPO has wider applicability or has been available for a longer time, accumulating more users and reviews. Quick Quote, however, focuses on streamlining the quote process from cart to checkout, managing requests, discounts, and customer communications. This is crucial for B2B or high-value transactions where direct negotiation is preferred, whereas Dynamic Product Options focus on allowing customers to choose product options and adjust prices accordingly, rather than requesting a quote entirely.

Our Verdict
For merchants needing to offer many product variations with different prices (e.g., customized apparel, configurable furniture), DPO Dynamic Product Options is likely the superior choice. It appears designed to enhance the product page experience and automatically adjusts pricing based on customer selections. The higher number of reviews may also indicate greater overall reliability or maturity.
However, if your business model involves negotiating prices, dealing with bulk orders, or selling services that require custom quotes, Quick Quote is the better option. It focuses on streamlining the quote request, negotiation, and conversion process directly from the customer's cart. The feature for customers to comment on quotes is a particular strength, facilitating a smooth back-and-forth discussion to close the deal.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Without user testimonials, it's difficult to say definitively. However, Quick Quote likely has a simpler setup, since it only requires adding a "Request a Quote" button to the cart. DPO may require configuration for each product with variable options.
Which app improves sales more?
Both apps can improve sales but in different ways. Quick Quote can improve sales by allowing customers to negotiate deals, whereas DPO can improve sales by increasing conversion rates as more customers are likely to convert when they can customize their orders.
Which app requires more manual work?
Quick Quote definitely requires more manual work since you have to respond to individual quote requests, while DPO automates the process of price calculation based on options.
Can I use both apps simultaneously?
Potentially, but it depends on your business model. If you offer both standard customizable products and handle bulk/custom orders, you could use DPO for the former and Quick Quote for the latter. However, consider the potential for customer confusion.
Which app is more scalable for a large business?
DPO Dynamic Product Options scales better for a large business with a high volume of orders because it automates the price calculation. Quick Quote requires someone to respond to each quote request manually, so it would be challenging for businesses with thousands of customers.
