DRINKS ASSURE vs MitID Aldersverificeringfor Shopify (2026)
DRINKS ASSURE and MitID Aldersverificering are both legal Shopify apps with perfect 5/5 ratings, but they cater to vastly different needs within the regulatory landscape. DRINKS ASSURE is a comprehensive solution for alcohol producers and retailers, focusing on real-time tax and compliance across various jurisdictions, including US states, given mentions of CRV and ShipCompliant integration. It aims to automate and streamline complex tax calculations and compliance rules associated with alcohol sales, saving merchants time and potential penalties. MitID Aldersverificering, on the other hand, is specifically designed to address age verification requirements in Denmark, particularly for alcohol, tobacco, and vaping products. It leverages the MitID digital identity system to ensure compliance with Danish law (Lov nr. 651 af 11-06-2024). Unlike DRINKS ASSURE's subscription model, MitID Aldersverificering operates on a pay-per-use basis, which may be attractive to merchants with lower transaction volumes or those seeking a more cost-effective solution specifically for age verification within the Danish market. The primary value proposition of MitID Aldersverificering is mitigating the risk of fines associated with selling age-restricted products to minors.
