DTDC EConnect vs MyGLS Professionalfor Shopify (2026)
DTDC EConnect and MyGLS Professional are both Shopify apps in the shipping category, but they cater to vastly different needs and audiences. DTDC EConnect is positioned as a direct integration solution for existing DTDC (a specific shipping company) customers, focusing on simplifying order fulfillment directly through their service. It streamlines label printing, order cancellation and tracking for shipments using DTDC. MyGLS Professional, on the other hand, offers a more comprehensive and independent solution for merchants using GLS (another specific shipping company) in Eastern Europe, with features like unlimited label printing, parcel shop integration, and automated order status tracking, making it a full-fledged shipping management tool. The primary differences lie in their intended user base, geographic focus, and breadth of features. DTDC EConnect seems tailored for merchants exclusively shipping with DTDC within DTDC's service area, while MyGLS Professional is designed for GLS users in Eastern Europe requiring advanced shipping management and potentially high volumes of labels. The significant difference in ratings and reviews suggests a considerable gap in user satisfaction and reliability, with MyGLS Professional being the much more favored option.

Our Verdict
Based on the available data, MyGLS Professional is the clear winner for merchants using GLS in Eastern Europe, particularly those needing advanced features like parcel shop integration and unlimited label printing. Its perfect rating and high number of reviews suggest a reliable and user-friendly experience. It's ideal for businesses shipping larger volumes within the GLS Eastern Europe network.
DTDC EConnect is only suitable for merchants who are already DTDC customers and primarily require a simple order syncing and label printing solution within the DTDC ecosystem. However, the extremely low rating and minimal reviews raise serious concerns about its reliability and usability, potentially making it a riskier choice unless significant improvements are made.
