DX Profit Margin Editor Pro vs Quick Quotefor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, choosing between DX Profit Margin Editor Pro and Quick Quote for your Shopify store presents a clear decision based on the available data. DX Profit Margin Editor Pro, despite aiming to help merchants manage profit margins, currently lacks any user reviews or ratings, indicating it may be a new app or one that hasn't gained traction. Quick Quote, on the other hand, is a well-rated app (5/5 with 56 reviews) focused on enabling customers to request custom quotes directly from their cart, suggesting a solution for businesses dealing with customized products or bulk orders. Quick Quote allows customers to submit custom quote requests through the Shopify cart. Merchants receive these requests via email and can create editable quotes within the app admin. The app supports communication through comments and facilitates customer checkout once a quote is accepted. Its core strength lies in providing a streamlined quote management system for Shopify stores. DX Profit Margin Editor Pro's intended functionality is in an entirely different area of running a Shopify business, however, without any reviews to assess it we can only speculate about its capabilities and how it is intended to achieve its goals. Given the information at hand, the primary distinction is the established functionality and user satisfaction of Quick Quote versus the unproven (and currently unrated) DX Profit Margin Editor Pro. Quick Quote targets merchants selling products or services where customized pricing or quantities are common, offering a direct communication channel for negotiations. The target audience for DX Profit Margin Editor Pro, if it were to function correctly, would be any merchant wanting to have better control over their profit margins.

Our Verdict
Currently, Quick Quote is the clear choice for merchants seeking a solution for handling custom quote requests directly through their Shopify store. The positive reviews and described functionality indicate a well-received and functional app. DX Profit Margin Editor Pro, with no reviews and therefore no proof of concept, presents a significant risk. Merchants should only consider DX Profit Margin Editor Pro if they have a strong need for a profit margin editor, and only *after* significant due diligence and potentially a trial period (if available) due to the lack of evidence of it working correctly.
Ultimately, the decision depends on the specific needs of the Shopify store. If custom quotes are essential, Quick Quote is the superior option. If profit margin control is the priority, a well-reviewed alternative to DX Profit Margin Editor Pro should be found, at least until this specific app has confirmed functionality.
