Our Verdict
Based on the available data, Katana Cloud Inventory appears to be the stronger choice for most Shopify merchants, primarily due to its significantly higher rating and larger number of reviews, suggesting a greater level of user satisfaction. If you are a small business owner requiring inventory management, you may find Katana to be the better choice. However, if you are a larger or medium-sized business with multiple Shopify shops and you require comprehensive ERP capabilities including strong financials visibility along with inventory management and insights driven by AI, Dynamics 365 Business Central might be the only option due to it's comprehensive functionality; however, given the poor rating, a very thorough evaluation and possibly a trial period is essential.
It is also important to recognize that, with the data given, one app is missing much more information. So, depending on a merchant's need, more research is absolutely needed before making a firm choice. If the merchant only wants Inventory, then the better bet may be Katana. If the merchant wants to do more with their business and has a complex company, then Dynamics 365 Business Central may be more suitable, if the merchant is willing to address the low reviews.
