EA • Sticky Add to Cart Drawer vs Essential Free Shipping Upsellfor Shopify (2026)
EA • Sticky Add to Cart Drawer and Essential Free Shipping Upsell both aim to increase sales, average order value (AOV), and improve the customer shopping experience on Shopify stores, but they approach this goal through different primary features. EA focuses on sticky add-to-cart functionality and AI-powered upsells within a side cart drawer, providing persistent visibility and immediate cart modifications. Conversely, Essential Free Shipping Upsell centers its strategy around a free shipping progress bar to motivate customers to add more items to reach a cart goal, coupled with cross-selling and upsell opportunities. EA • Sticky Add to Cart Drawer prioritizes enhancing the shopping process directly on the product page with persistent buttons and one-click checkout, while Essential Free Shipping Upsell emphasizes leveraging the customer's inherent desire for free shipping as an incentive for larger purchases. Although both offer cart customization and upsell features, EA's strength lies in immediate product page interaction, whereas Essential Free Shipping Upsell excels at incentivizing customers with a monetary goal, offering more advanced customization of its progress bar.

Our Verdict
Merchants seeking to improve product page conversion rates by making the 'add to cart' action persistently visible and offering one-click checkout should consider EA • Sticky Add to Cart Drawer. The AI-powered upsell within the side cart drawer can provide additional revenue. The low number of reviews, however, should be considered.
For stores primarily focused on increasing average order value (AOV) through strategic use of free shipping incentives and detailed revenue tracking, Essential Free Shipping Upsell is a better choice. The customizable free shipping progress bar and cart goal features can effectively motivate customers to add more items to their cart to qualify for free shipping. The high number of reviews lends credibility to the app.
