Easy Product Image Overlays vs Sherpas: Smart SEOfor Shopify (2026)
Easy Product Image Overlays and Sherpas: Smart SEO, while sharing the 'Image editor' category on Shopify, address vastly different needs for merchants. Easy Product Image Overlays focuses on enhancing the visual appeal of product images directly on the storefront by adding overlays and call-outs for promotions and key product features. It aims to improve conversions by attracting attention to specific products or offers without affecting the original images used for shopping feeds. Sherpas: Smart SEO, on the other hand, is a comprehensive SEO tool focused on improving a store's search engine rankings. It automates and simplifies complex SEO tasks like meta tag generation, image optimization (presumably for search engines, not visual appeal), page speed improvement, and link management. The app leverages AI with ChatGPT-4 Turbo for content generation and provides tools to monitor and improve the overall SEO health of a Shopify store. It targets merchants seeking to increase organic traffic and sales through better search engine visibility.
