Easyteam for Point of Sale vs Filljoy Sell by Weight for POSfor Shopify (2026)
Easyteam for Point of Sale and Filljoy Sell by Weight for POS are both Shopify apps catering to merchants selling in person using Shopify POS, but they address vastly different needs. Easyteam focuses on comprehensive staff management, offering features like time tracking, scheduling, commissions, and payroll, making it a human resource management tool specifically tailored for retail environments. Filljoy, on the other hand, solves the specific challenge of selling products by weight or length within the POS system, enabling accurate pricing, inventory adjustments, and reporting for businesses like grocery stores, butcher shops, and fabric outlets. The key difference lies in their core functionality. Easyteam aims to streamline employee-related tasks, offering features such as clock-in/out functionality, schedule management, and performance tracking. It serves as a centralized platform for managing staff within a retail business utilizing Shopify POS. Conversely, Filljoy provides a solution for a specific sales model – selling products by quantifiable metrics like weight or length – integrating with scales (with special hardware) and providing accurate inventory adjustments for such sales. The apps target different pain points and have distinct functionalities.

Our Verdict
The choice between Easyteam and Filljoy depends entirely on the specific needs of the merchant. If a business is looking to optimize its staff management processes, including scheduling, payroll, and performance tracking, Easyteam is the clear choice. Its high rating and numerous reviews suggest a well-received and effective solution for this purpose.
However, if the primary concern is accurately selling and tracking inventory for products sold by weight or length, Filljoy is the more appropriate tool. While its rating is slightly lower and the number of reviews significantly less, it directly addresses a niche requirement that Easyteam does not. For businesses like butcher shops, farmstands, or fabric stores, Filljoy offers a critical functionality that outweighs Easyteam's more general staff management capabilities.
