Free checklist & auditGet the free BFCM checklist & auditFilljoy Sell by Weight for POS is a useful tool for merchants selling products by weight or length in-person. However, some merchants may seek alternatives due to its specialized focus and limitations like DYMO scale incompatibility. The app's hardware requirements for scale integration could also be a barrier for some. Businesses might also find the need for additional apps, like Catch Weight Fulfillment, for order editing and draft orders to be cumbersome. Pricing, the user interface, or the specific integrations offered could also drive merchants to explore other options that better fit their workflow and budget.
Put away the calculator and sell decimal products (by weight, length and more) in-person using POS!
Easily create a powerful, customizable, mobile-friendly store & dealer locator map.
Stockist is relevant if you have multiple physical locations and want to improve the customer experience by helping them find your stores. It includes features like a customizable store map, geolocation search, and analytics, none of which Filljoy provides.
Ideal for stores that want to improve their store visibility and drive in-store traffic.
Manage inventory, retail barcode labels, SKU generator, barcode generator, print & order fulfillment
If you're looking for more robust inventory management and barcode scanning capabilities, EasyScan is a strong contender. It offers features such as SKU and barcode generation, order fulfillment with barcode scanning, and inventory tracking with bin locations, providing a more comprehensive inventory solution than Filljoy.
Best for merchants needing advanced barcode and inventory management tools in their POS system.
Experience the convenience of using our customizable & user-friendly store and dealer locator.
Similar to Stockist, Progus Store Locator Map helps customers find your physical stores. It offers customizable map styles, bulk import features, and multilingual support, which may be beneficial if you have an international customer base. Filljoy focuses on weight-based sales, not store location services.
Ideal for stores seeking a user-friendly and customizable store locator with multilingual support.

Take appointments and bookings on your calendar. Booking app for any event or service.
While not a direct replacement for weight-based selling, this app could be useful if you're diversifying your business to offer experiences or services alongside product sales. It allows you to easily create and manage appointments, sync with calendars, and send reminders, which Filljoy does not offer.
Best for merchants who want to offer bookable services or experiences in addition to selling products.
Staff management for Point of Sale retailers. Time tracking, scheduling, commissions, payroll & more
Easyteam provides comprehensive staff management features directly integrated with Shopify POS. If you need time tracking, scheduling, commission management, and payroll tools, this app offers a robust solution. Filljoy doesn't offer any staff management functionality.
Ideal for stores that need to streamline their staff management processes within Shopify POS.
Boost Sales with Dynamic & UTM Trackable QR Codes Using Our QR Code Generator In-store App Widget.
QodeVault offers dynamic QR code generation for various purposes, such as marketing, product pages, and discounts. If you need to integrate your online store with POS systems like Sumareji or Square to unify customer information and enhance the omnichannel experience, Omni Hub is designed for this. Manage your multiple locations with single Application. Show your dealer's stores on one page.
AW Store Locator offers a simple way to display your store locations on your website with customization options. The auto-detect location feature can improve the user experience. While Filljoy focuses on weight-based sales, AW Store Locator helps customers find your stores.

While some of the listed alternatives offer features relevant to POS systems (like barcode scanning or store locators), they don't inherently guarantee support for decimal quantities or scale integration. Evaluate each app's features to determine if they meet your specific needs for selling by weight/length.
The app descriptions do not explicitly mention direct scale integration, except for Filljoy itself. You would need to check the documentation or contact the developers of each alternative to confirm compatibility with your specific scale hardware.
None of the listed alternatives specifically mention catch weight fulfillment in their descriptions. You may need to explore apps beyond this list to find one that offers this functionality or combine multiple apps to achieve the desired result.
While some alternatives offer features that could be useful (like inventory management or customer loyalty programs), none are specifically tailored to the unique needs of farm stands or zero-waste refill stores the way Filljoy is. You would need to carefully evaluate each alternative to see if it meets your specific requirements.
The app descriptions don't provide direct information about the quality of customer support. I recommend checking user reviews, visiting the app developers' websites, and contacting their support teams to assess their responsiveness and helpfulness.
