eCard Widget ‑ Greeting Cards vs Giftnote, eGifts & Bulk Sendfor Shopify (2026)
eCard Widget ‑ Greeting Cards and Giftnote, eGifts & Bulk Send both aim to enhance the gifting experience on Shopify stores, but cater to different needs and scales. eCard Widget positions itself as a simple, customizable solution for offering branded e-cards with personalization options. Its strength lies in its focus on creating unique, branded e-card experiences directly on your store. Giftnote, on the other hand, is a more comprehensive gifting platform designed for higher-volume gifting and corporate solutions. It emphasizes automation, multi-address gifting, and integrations with other marketing and fulfillment tools, making it ideal for larger businesses or those focused on corporate gifting initiatives. The primary difference lies in the breadth of functionality and target audience. eCard Widget is likely better suited for smaller stores or those wanting a simple e-card functionality. The white-labeling, email address tracking, and address book features are valuable but don't scale to the extent of Giftnote. Giftnote's advantage is its automation, SMS/Email delivery timing, multi-address shipping, eGift card support, corporate gifting features, and extensive integrations. It’s designed to turn gifting into a significant revenue stream, demanding more complex setup and potentially incurring higher costs but provides a higher ROI with proper integration.

Our Verdict
If you are a small business seeking a straightforward way to offer branded e-cards with a focus on personal touch and don't anticipate large-scale gifting needs, eCard Widget ‑ Greeting Cards is the better choice. Its white-labeling options allow for a fully branded customer experience. It is designed for users seeking simple e-card integrations.
However, if you are a larger business or a company focused on corporate gifting, multi-address shipping, and automating the gifting process to drive revenue, Giftnote, eGifts & Bulk Send is the superior solution. Its integrations and features like SMS/Email delivery timing and custom eGift cards provide a more robust and scalable gifting experience, though its complexity and cost will be higher.
Common Questions
Which app offers better branding options?
Both offer branding, but eCard Widget focuses specifically on white-labeling your e-cards. Giftnote allows for customized gift messages and eGift cards, so it's branding is broader, but it can be used with 3rd party platforms like Klaviyo for more control over the message being delivered.
Which app is better for handling large-scale corporate gifting?
Giftnote is designed for corporate gifting with its multi-address gifting and bulk sending features. eCard Widget's address book might be suitable for smaller-scale corporate gifting but lacks the automation of Giftnote.
Which app integrates with more third-party platforms?
Giftnote explicitly mentions integrations with 3PL, Shipstation, Klaviyo, Rebuy, Loop, Okendo, and Yotpo. eCard Widget doesn't list any specific integrations in the provided description.
Which app is easier to set up?
eCard Widget is likely easier to set up, due to its focus on simplicity and single purpose of integrating e-cards. Giftnote's complexity arises from the breadth of its feature set and integrations requiring a more complex setup and integration with existing e-commerce architecture.
Which app will likely cost more?
Giftnote will likely cost more, especially as your gifting volume increases and you utilize its integrations and advanced features. eCard Widget's pricing should be simpler and lower, as it addresses a single use case.
