Our Verdict
For merchants aiming to provide a traditional yet digital greeting card experience with a focus on design, branding, and bulk sending, eCard Widget ‑ Greeting Cards is the better choice. Its features cater to customization of digital cards, contact management, and potentially adding virtual gifts. This would fit businesses wanting to capitalize on holidays or special occasions by offering personalized branded ecards.
Video Greet: Gift Messaging is recommended for merchants targeting a more modern and personalized gifting experience, especially those involved in corporate gifting or offering higher-value gifts. Its unique video/audio messaging capability, coupled with dynamic QR landing pages, offers a distinctive and memorable gifting experience. The revenue stream potential and focus on user experience through zero-code integration make it ideal for businesses seeking to enhance brand perception and customer loyalty. Overall, merchants looking for a tech-forward gifting solution that utilizes video, audio, and QR codes should opt for Video Greet.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and integrate?
Video Greet claims to have zero-code integration and focuses on seamless integration. While eCard Widget doesn't explicitly mention easy integration, its core functionality may require more customization of the e-card design and layout to make it feel native to the store's branding.
Does one app offer better tracking of customer engagement?
eCard Widget allows tracking of sender and recipient email addresses (with optional opt-in), giving more explicit customer data. Video Greet focuses more on the delivery of the message via QR or Portal, which doesn't necessarily expose that customer information to the store.
Which app is more suitable for corporate gifts?
Video Greet, with its dynamic QR landing pages designed for corporate clients and bulk orders, is clearly tailored for the corporate gifting market. This is a more compelling feature than address book from eCard Widget.
Can both apps be used as a new revenue stream?
While eCard Widget implies that customers may purchase ecards, Video Greet explicitly states that you can set the price and keep 100% of the margins. This makes Video Greet a clearer revenue-generating opportunity.
Which app offers better customization options?
eCard Widget offers complete control over the e-card's design, layout, and colors, including adding logos, websites, and links. Video Greet is more focused on branding the video/audio landing page and adjusting the language, but lacks the broader custom design features offered by eCard Widget.
