Equate ‑ Product Compare vs Smart Size Chart & Size Guidefor Shopify (2026)
Equate ‑ Product Compare and Smart Size Chart & Size Guide, while sharing the "Product display" category, address distinct needs within a Shopify store. Equate is designed to allow customers to directly compare products, facilitating informed purchase decisions, presumably by highlighting differences in specifications and features. Its strength lies in its ability to showcase multiple products side-by-side for easy comparison. On the other hand, Smart Size Chart & Size Guide focuses on mitigating sizing issues, which are particularly prevalent in apparel, shoes, and accessories. It enables merchants to create and display customizable size charts tailored to their product offerings, reducing returns and enhancing the customer experience. The key difference lies in their core functionality: Equate is for product comparison across an entire catalog or selection, while Smart Size Chart & Size Guide is for providing sizing information to increase customer confidence and reduce returns for specific products, especially those that require fit. Smart Size Chart boasts a significantly higher number of reviews (103) compared to Equate (38), suggesting wider adoption and more data points to support its 5/5 rating, albeit a 4.9/5 rating is still respectable for Equate.
