Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants prioritizing security and controlled customer onboarding, especially those in B2B or wholesale, ES Customer Approval offers a solution with its manual approval process and customer data storage as meta-fields. However, the extremely low rating and limited reviews are a cause for significant concern. If ease of use, flexibility, and broader form functionality are paramount, FormCRM AI Custom Form Builder is the stronger choice. Its AI-powered builder, wider range of integrations, and excellent rating suggest a more robust and user-friendly experience, though it lacks the explicit customer approval workflow of ES Customer Approval. Due to the huge rating differences, FormCRM is the recommended app, despite not focusing purely on Customer Approval. The lack of positive feedback is a major red flag for ES Customer Approval.
