Essential ‑ Back In Stock Pro vs Scarcity++ Low Stock Counterfor Shopify (2026)
Essential ‑ Back In Stock Pro and Scarcity++ Low Stock Counter both address inventory management concerns for Shopify merchants but approach it from vastly different angles. Essential ‑ Back In Stock Pro focuses on recovering lost sales by capturing customer interest in out-of-stock items and notifying them upon restock. It's about retaining customers and preventing them from going to competitors when items are unavailable. Scarcity++ Low Stock Counter, on the other hand, emphasizes creating urgency and driving immediate sales by displaying the remaining quantity of in-stock items. The key difference lies in their proactive vs. reactive strategy. Essential ‑ Back In Stock Pro is reactive, dealing with lost sales AFTER an item goes out of stock. Scarcity++ Low Stock Counter is proactive, aiming to prevent lost sales in the first place by leveraging the fear of missing out (FOMO). Both apps are valuable, but their suitability depends on the merchant's inventory strategy and sales goals. While Essential - Back In Stock Pro allows for exporting emails and custom branding of pop-up forms, Scarcity++ Low Stock Counter provides holiday-specific presets and integrations with logistics providers.
