Essential Free Shipping Upsell vs Payment Customisation ‑ Breezefor Shopify (2026)
Essential Free Shipping Upsell and Payment Customisation ‑ Breeze address entirely different aspects of the Shopify checkout experience. Essential Free Shipping Upsell focuses on increasing Average Order Value (AOV) by incentivizing customers to spend more to qualify for free shipping, effectively boosting sales and profits. The primary difference lies in their objectives: Essential Free Shipping Upsell aims to drive revenue through increased spending per order, while Payment Customisation ‑ Breeze aims to optimize the checkout flow for better customer experience and cost management. The former is geared towards boosting AOV, while the latter is focused on checkout conversion rate optimization and operational efficiency related to payment processing. Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with boosting sales and increasing the average value of each order, Essential Free Shipping Upsell appears to be the better choice, especially given its strong rating and substantial number of positive reviews. Its features are directly targeted at incentivizing customers to spend more. However, merchants experiencing issues with checkout abandonment related to payment options, or those wanting to reduce costs associated with specific payment methods (e.g., Cash on Delivery returns), should consider Payment Customisation ‑ Breeze.
It's important to acknowledge the lack of reviews for Payment Customisation - Breeze. This makes assessing its usability and reliability difficult. If a merchant is experiencing payment-related friction at checkout, testing Payment Customisation ‑ Breeze might be worthwhile, but proceeding cautiously and monitoring results closely is advised. Otherwise, Essential Free Shipping Upsell provides more immediate, easily attainable value for most online stores.
