Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants primarily concerned with boosting Average Order Value (AOV) and revenue through strategic incentives like free shipping, Essential Free Shipping Upsell is the better choice. Its 5-star rating and significantly higher number of reviews suggest a more proven and user-friendly approach. The integrated upsell and cross-sell features further enhance its potential for revenue generation.
However, if the priority is to reduce cart abandonment and provide a quicker, more streamlined checkout process, particularly for stores with a high volume of impulse purchases or returning customers, PF: Buy Now Skip Cart Checkout might be more suitable. While its rating is lower and review count is small, the core functionality directly addresses checkout friction. Merchants should weigh the benefits of potentially higher conversion rates against the trade-off of potentially missed upsell opportunities.
