Our Verdict
For merchants primarily focused on increasing sales and AOV through strategic free shipping incentives and upselling, Essential Free Shipping Upsell is the clear choice. Its high rating and significant number of positive reviews indicate strong user satisfaction and effectiveness. The configurable progress bar and integrated upsell features provide tangible tools for driving revenue.
Shipfn, however, caters to a very specific niche. If you need precise control over the shipping methods presented to your customers based on various factors like cart total, location, or item quantity, and are comfortable with a less proven app, Shipfn may be suitable. Given the lack of reviews, merchants should proceed with caution and thoroughly test the app's functionality before committing to it. A small number of stores with very complex shipping rules might get significant value from Shipfn. Most stores, however, will benefit far more from Essential Free Shipping Upsell.
