Essential Free Shipping Upsell vs Shipping Protection ‑ Navidiumfor Shopify (2026)
Essential Free Shipping Upsell and Shipping Protection - Navidium, while both categorized under "Upsell and Cross-sell" on the Shopify app store, cater to fundamentally different needs and business strategies. Essential Free Shipping Upsell focuses on increasing average order value (AOV) by motivating customers to add more items to their cart to qualify for free shipping, and offering upselling and cross-selling opportunities within the cart. Shipping Protection - Navidium, on the other hand, offers merchants a platform to manage their own shipping protection program, allowing them to retain shipping protection fees instead of paying them to an insurance provider. This directly impacts profitability, particularly when claims are low.
