Essential Free Shipping Upsell vs Snap Cart Drawer Progress Barfor Shopify (2026)
Essential Free Shipping Upsell and Snap Cart Drawer Progress Bar both aim to increase Average Order Value (AOV) and sales through cart customization, but they approach this goal differently. Essential Free Shipping Upsell focuses primarily on a free shipping progress bar and basic cart upsells directly on product and cart pages, positioning itself as a simple, revenue-focused solution. Snap Cart Drawer Progress Bar, on the other hand, is a more comprehensive cart drawer builder, offering a wider range of features like a fully customizable slide cart drawer, sticky cart button, trust badges, and tiered progress bars with more advanced rewards and gamification elements. The target audience also differs. Essential Free Shipping Upsell appears geared toward merchants who want a straightforward solution to incentivize customers to reach a free shipping threshold and add simple upsells. Snap Cart Drawer Progress Bar targets merchants who want greater control over the entire cart experience, including cart design and more sophisticated cart interactions. Snap Cart Drawer Progress Bar also focuses on building trust elements not addressed in Essential Free Shipping Upsell. The drastically different number of reviews suggests a significant difference in market penetration and/or longevity in the Shopify app store.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a simple, easy-to-implement solution focused solely on incentivizing free shipping and basic upsells, Essential Free Shipping Upsell is a strong choice, as indicated by its perfect rating and large number of reviews. Its straightforward approach and revenue-oriented tracking make it ideal for those wanting a quick and effective way to boost AOV.
However, merchants who want a more comprehensive and customizable cart experience, including a fully designed cart drawer, sticky cart options, and trust-building elements, should consider Snap Cart Drawer Progress Bar. While it has fewer reviews, its feature-rich approach and focus on optimizing the entire cart journey may be more suitable for those looking to invest in a more holistic solution. This app is best suited for merchants needing greater control over their cart's look and feel, plus who want to incorporate trust-building measures.
