Essential Free Shipping Upsell vs Yagi Express Payment Hiderfor Shopify (2026)
Essential Free Shipping Upsell and Yagi Express Payment Hider both aim to improve the checkout experience on Shopify, but they tackle vastly different problems. Essential Free Shipping Upsell focuses on increasing Average Order Value (AOV) and sales by incentivizing customers to spend more to qualify for free shipping, using a progress bar and cross-selling features. It targets merchants seeking to boost revenue through strategic upselling techniques. Conversely, Yagi Express Payment Hider addresses checkout abandonment by hiding express payment options on the initial checkout page, preventing customers from thinking those are the only available methods. It's designed for merchants who suspect that the prominence of express checkout is negatively impacting conversion rates. The apps are therefore not directly comparable, and a merchant's choice between them will depend on their specific needs and pain points.
