Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing immediate revenue boost and minimal setup effort with standard upsell tactics, Essential Upsell & Cross Sell is the clear winner. Its ease of use and focus on frequently bought together items and related products make it ideal for quickly increasing AOV without needing detailed customer profiling. However, if a merchant is willing to invest in a more engaging and personalized shopping experience, and they need to collect zero-party data on customer preferences, Lantern AI Quiz Builder is the superior choice. Its AI-powered quizzes provide valuable customer insights and allow for tailored product recommendations and dynamic discounts, leading to potentially higher conversion rates and increased customer loyalty in the long run.
If ease of use is extremely important, and a merchant is not ready for a complex solution, Essential Upsell & Cross Sell may be the better option. If collecting user preference data is important, and creating a unique experience is key, Lantern AI Quiz Builder makes more sense.
