ETP Sort Hide Payment Methods vs Pay Later, Split Pay ‑ Cypherfor Shopify (2026)
ETP Sort Hide Payment Methods and Pay Later, Split Pay ‑ Cypher both operate in the 'Payment options - Other' Shopify category, but address distinct needs. ETP Sort Hide Payment Methods focuses on controlling the visibility and presentation of existing payment methods in the Shopify checkout. It empowers merchants to tailor the payment options based on contextual rules like customer location, cart value, and product specifics, aiming to optimize the checkout experience and increase conversions by reducing friction. Its strength lies in its conditional logic and no-code approach, making it accessible to a wide range of merchants who want to refine their payment gateway offerings. Pay Later, Split Pay ‑ Cypher, on the other hand, targets merchants selling high-value or custom-made products, particularly pre-orders, by offering flexible payment plans like partial payments, split payments, deposits, and deferred payment options (Net30). The app aims to boost sales and customer loyalty by accommodating customer budget constraints and providing payment reminders and automated charging of balances. Its focus is on creating entirely new payment schemes, rather than manipulating the existing ones, to enable customers to purchase goods and services. The key differentiator is enabling deferred payment options beyond standard checkout gateways.
