ETP Sort Hide Shipping Rates vs Shipping & Delivery ‑ ShipZipfor Shopify (2026)
ETP Sort Hide Shipping Rates and Shipping & Delivery ‑ ShipZip both aim to optimize the shipping experience for Shopify merchants, but they cater to different needs and levels of complexity. ETP Sort Hide Shipping Rates focuses on simplifying and streamlining the customer-facing checkout process by allowing merchants to hide unwanted options, sort remaining rates, and rename them for clarity. This app is ideal for stores that already have their shipping rates calculated and just need a way to present them in a more user-friendly manner. Shipping & Delivery ‑ ShipZip, on the other hand, is a more robust solution that calculates custom shipping rates based on a variety of parameters, including product attributes, customer location (zip code, distance), and order characteristics. It also provides advanced features like local delivery scheduling and PO box restrictions. ShipZip appears targeted at merchants with more complex shipping requirements that need granular control over rate calculation and delivery options. It offers features like shipping rates by product tag, distance-based pricing, and local delivery with time slots, indicating a focus on businesses with diverse product types, geographically varied customer bases, or local delivery needs (like bakeries or flower shops). While both apps address shipping, ETP Sort Hide Shipping Rates excels at presentation and simplification, while ShipZip focuses on calculation and customization. This distinction positions ShipZip as the more powerful, but potentially more complex, solution.
