Expresso Gift Cards vs Goalify: Free Shipping Bar PROfor Shopify (2026)
Expresso Gift Cards and Goalify: Free Shipping Bar PRO, while both listed under the 'Gifts' category on Shopify, address fundamentally different needs for merchants. Expresso Gift Cards is specifically designed for merchants who require the creation and distribution of gift cards at scale, offering features like CSV import, manual entry, and automatic customer account generation. Its strength lies in streamlining the process of generating and delivering a large number of gift cards, catering to corporate gifting programs or customer reward initiatives. Goalify: Free Shipping Bar PRO, on the other hand, focuses on incentivizing purchases by displaying a progress bar towards free shipping, aiming to increase average order value and conversions. The primary distinction lies in their respective value propositions: Expresso Gift Cards simplifies gift card management and distribution, particularly in bulk, whereas Goalify focuses on boosting sales through strategic use of free shipping incentives. Therefore, their target audiences differ significantly. Expresso Gift Cards is geared towards businesses involved in corporate gifting, loyalty programs, or any scenario demanding mass gift card creation. Goalify is more broadly applicable, targeting Shopify merchants of all sizes looking to improve conversion rates and average order value by leveraging the psychological appeal of free shipping.

Our Verdict
Choosing between Expresso Gift Cards and Goalify: Free Shipping Bar PRO depends entirely on the merchant's specific needs. If the primary goal is to create and distribute a large number of gift cards efficiently, especially for corporate gifting or reward programs, then Expresso Gift Cards is the clear choice. The CSV import, manual entry, and automatic customer account creation features are crucial for this use case.
Conversely, if the goal is to increase average order value and improve conversion rates by leveraging the appeal of free shipping, Goalify: Free Shipping Bar PRO is the superior option. Its focus on visual communication and sales incentives makes it a more suitable tool for merchants seeking to optimize their online store's sales performance. Given the significant difference in review count, Goalify likely has a more established user base and potentially more robust support, although the low review count of Expresso Gift Cards could be due to it being newer.
Common Questions
Can Expresso Gift Cards help me increase my average order value?
Expresso Gift Cards primarily focuses on gift card creation and distribution. While gift cards can indirectly contribute to sales, it doesn't directly influence average order value like Goalify does with its free shipping incentive.
Is Goalify suitable for merchants who don't offer free shipping?
No. Goalify: Free Shipping Bar PRO's core function relies on offering free shipping. Without it, the app would be ineffective.
Does Expresso Gift Cards integrate with other marketing automation tools?
The provided description does not mention any integrations with marketing automation tools.
How does Goalify handle different shipping zones and costs?
The provided information doesn't detail Goalify's capabilities regarding shipping zones and costs. Further research would be needed to assess its functionality in that area.
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Based on the descriptions, Goalify appears potentially simpler to set up due to its focus on a visual display (the free shipping bar). Expresso Gift Cards, with its CSV import feature, might involve a slightly steeper learning curve depending on the merchant's technical skills.
