Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Based on the descriptions, Video Greet: Gift Messaging likely offers a simpler setup with its 'zero code integration'. Expresso Gift Cards might involve some initial setup with CSV formatting, but it streamlines the bulk gift card creation process once configured.
Can both apps be used together?
Potentially, but it might be redundant. You could use Expresso Gift Cards to generate the gift cards, and Video Greet: Gift Messaging to allow recipients to add a personalized video message when redeeming the gift. However, that scenario would require custom development or app integration, as they are not inherently designed to work together.
Which app is better for corporate gifting?
Both can be used for corporate gifting. Expresso Gift Cards excels at creating and distributing the gifts themselves in bulk. Video Greet: Gift Messaging is perfect for creating personalized thank you pages or for adding custom thank you messages to gifts for individual team members or clients.
Which app provides a potential revenue stream?
Video Greet: Gift Messaging specifically mentions the ability to set a price for the personalized messaging service, creating a new revenue stream. Expresso Gift Cards focuses on distribution; thus it might drive sales via gift card redemption but does not have a new direct revenue stream feature.
What happens if a customer does not have a Shopify account when using Expresso Gift Cards?
Expresso Gift Cards automatically generates a customer account when generating gift cards. This eliminates the need for a separate customer setup process.
