ExpressText Connect vs Winback: SMS Marketingfor Shopify (2026)
ExpressText Connect and Winback: SMS Marketing both aim to help Shopify merchants leverage SMS for increased engagement and sales, but they approach it from slightly different angles. ExpressText Connect focuses on seamless data synchronization and personalized messaging, emphasizing a more hands-on, high-touch approach with 'white-glove service'. It positions itself as a solution for merchants struggling with disorganized customer outreach who need assistance with data segmentation and targeted campaigns. Winback, on the other hand, presents itself as a comprehensive SMS marketing platform offering a wider range of automated campaigns like abandoned cart recovery, upsells, and restock alerts, designed for rapid growth through automation and lead generation.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a high-touch, personalized SMS marketing experience with expert guidance on data segmentation and targeted messaging, ExpressText Connect appears to be the stronger choice, particularly if they value hands-on support and are comfortable with a smaller number of reviews. However, merchants prioritizing a broader range of automated campaigns (abandoned carts, upsells, restock alerts) and focused on rapid revenue growth through lead generation may find Winback a better fit. Despite the lower rating, Winback has significantly more reviews, suggesting wider adoption and potentially more user feedback to guide its development. The difference in ratings should be investigated further by looking at specific user reviews to understand the reasons behind the scores.
