Extendons Whatsapp Integration vs Gladly: AI‑Powered CX Platformfor Shopify (2026)
Extendons Whatsapp Integration and Gladly: AI‑Powered CX Platform both aim to improve customer communication, but they approach the problem from vastly different angles. Extendons focuses specifically on WhatsApp integration, likely providing a streamlined solution for merchants prioritizing this channel. Gladly, on the other hand, is a comprehensive AI-powered CX platform that centralizes customer interactions across multiple channels (voice, email, chat, SMS, and social) and leverages AI to resolve issues and drive sales. Extendons will be appealing to merchants seeking a simple, targeted solution, while Gladly aims to serve larger retailers looking for a complete customer service overhaul and increased lifetime value through AI-driven personalization and support. The fundamental difference lies in their scope and complexity. Extendons is a point solution, concentrating on WhatsApp. Gladly is a complete CX platform intended to create lasting customer relationships across all channels by integrating order history, agent information, and intelligent AI features. The 'no tickets' approach championed by Gladly aims to provide a frictionless and personal experience, differentiating itself from traditional customer service models. Ultimately, the choice will depend on the size and needs of the Shopify store.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants primarily communicating with customers via WhatsApp, and who value simplicity and potentially lower cost, Extendons Whatsapp Integration is likely the better choice. It offers a focused solution without the complexities of a full CX platform.
However, for larger retailers managing multiple communication channels and seeking to leverage AI to improve customer satisfaction, increase sales through personalized recommendations, and streamline customer service operations across all channels, Gladly: AI‑Powered CX Platform offers a significantly more robust solution. The higher initial investment in Gladly could be justified by the potential for increased customer lifetime value and operational efficiencies.
