EZ Add Custom Font vs Flair Product Badges + Labelsfor Shopify (2026)
While both EZ Add Custom Font and Flair Product Badges + Labels fall under the 'Design elements' category on the Shopify App Store, they cater to significantly different design needs. EZ Add Custom Font, with a perfect 5/5 rating, focuses specifically on allowing merchants to easily integrate and use custom fonts on their Shopify store. Its strength lies in typography control and branding consistency. Flair Product Badges + Labels, also boasting a 5/5 rating, concentrates on visual merchandising through the use of badges and labels to highlight product features, discounts, or other promotional information. The key difference lies in their focus: one prioritizes typography and branding, while the other prioritizes visual product merchandising and highlighting key product attributes. Due to the vastly differing number of reviews (3 vs. 227), Flair Product Badges + Labels has significantly more social proof and a potentially more robust and well-tested feature set. Although both achieve high ratings, the limited number of reviews for EZ Add Custom Font means its user experience and potential edge cases are less well-understood compared to Flair Product Badges + Labels.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking fine-grained control over their store's typography and brand identity, EZ Add Custom Font is a potential option. However, given the limited reviews, it is crucial to thoroughly test the app and ensure compatibility with their specific theme and other apps. Flair Product Badges + Labels is a more established choice for merchants aiming to boost sales and highlight key product features through visually appealing badges and labels. The significantly higher number of reviews indicates a more mature and reliable app, making it a safer choice for merchants seeking immediate visual merchandising enhancements. The decision hinges on the merchant's immediate need: branding/typography (EZ Add Custom Font, with caution) vs. visual merchandising (Flair Product Badges + Labels).
