F: SKU Code Generator vs Platmart Bulk Price Editorfor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, both F: SKU Code Generator and Platmart Bulk Price Editor offer Shopify merchants bulk editing capabilities within the 'Operations' and 'Bulk editor' categories. However, their focus diverges significantly. F: SKU Code Generator streamlines the often tedious process of creating and updating SKU codes for products, aiming to simplify inventory management through automated SKU generation based on defined rules and inclusion of product details. It targets merchants who struggle with SKU creation or want to enforce a consistent SKU structure across their product catalog. Platmart Bulk Price Editor, on the other hand, is designed for efficient price management across large product inventories. It empowers merchants to quickly adjust prices, compare at prices, costs, margins, and markups, as well as schedule sales with precision and rollback options. While both apps share a 4.8/5 rating, Platmart Bulk Price Editor boasts significantly more reviews (53) than F: SKU Code Generator (17), suggesting broader adoption and a longer track record. The core difference lies in their purpose: one focuses on SKU standardization and automation, while the other addresses pricing strategy and execution. Platmart's feature set, including support for Shopify Markets, fixed prices, and very large product variant counts, indicates it's aimed at larger, more complex businesses needing robust pricing management capabilities. F: SKU Code Generator seems geared towards merchants seeking a simple and straightforward solution for generating and managing SKUs, especially those new to SKU-based inventory management.

Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing organized inventory and streamlined SKU creation, especially those without an existing SKU system or with a need to standardize, F: SKU Code Generator is the clear choice. Its ease of use and automation features simplify the SKU generation process. However, merchants managing large product catalogs, running frequent sales, or operating in multiple markets would be better served by Platmart Bulk Price Editor. Its robust features, scalability, and rollback capabilities provide the necessary tools for efficient price management and sales execution. While both are useful, their distinct focus areas mean they cater to different needs within the Shopify ecosystem.
If a merchant finds themselves needing *both* better SKU management *and* price control, they might need to evaluate if the cost of using both apps is less than the value they get. Otherwise, consider a third option that combines these functionalities (if one exists and is reputable) or prioritize the most painful problem first.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to use?
