Factor4 Gift Cards PLUS vs Selling Pointfor Shopify (2026)
Factor4 Gift Cards PLUS and Selling Point both operate within the Shopify gift card ecosystem, but they cater to very different needs. Factor4 Gift Cards PLUS focuses on enabling merchants to sell and redeem both physical and virtual gift cards directly through their Shopify store and physical POS. It offers the functionality to purchase gift cards online and have physical cards mailed to customers, which is a key differentiator. Selling Point, on the other hand, specializes in migrating existing gift card and store credit data from other platforms into Shopify. Its core value proposition is to save merchants time and money by automating the import process, eliminating the need for manual data entry or custom development. The main difference lies in their positioning: Factor4 is about creating a gift card program within Shopify, whereas Selling Point is about transitioning an existing program to Shopify. Factor4 appears targeted towards merchants who are either new to gift cards or seeking an integrated solution for both online and offline sales. Selling Point is clearly geared toward merchants switching to Shopify from another platform and needing to bring their existing gift card balances with them. The apps share the 'Gifts' and 'Gift Cards' category, but their functionalities place them in distinct niches.

Our Verdict
For merchants starting a new gift card program or seeking a fully integrated online and offline solution, Factor4 Gift Cards PLUS *could* be the right choice if they can overlook the lack of reviews. However, the absence of user feedback makes it a risky proposition. Its value lies in its ability to handle both virtual and physical gift cards seamlessly.
For merchants migrating to Shopify from another e-commerce platform or POS system and wanting to bring their existing gift card balances with them, Selling Point is the clear winner. Its 5-star rating and positive reviews signal a reliable and effective solution for data migration. Given the data available in 2026, Selling Point is the safer bet for most merchants due to its established track record, unless Factor4 demonstrably improves its rating and review count.
