Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing wholesale expansion and ease of managing B2B sales within the Shopify ecosystem, Faire: Sell Wholesale is the clear choice. Its focus on connecting with independent retailers and synchronizing inventory and orders directly addresses the needs of businesses looking to scale their wholesale operations.
However, if a merchant needs a comprehensive solution for managing and manipulating store data, especially across different platforms or formats, Matrixify is the superior option. Its ability to import, export, update, and migrate data in bulk, along with its scheduling and monitoring capabilities, makes it ideal for businesses with complex data management requirements or those planning a platform migration. Matrixify is also better suited for data backups and restoring data.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Faire is likely easier to set up initially due to its focus on a single sales channel and straightforward integration with Shopify's product catalog and order management. Matrixify, while powerful, probably requires more technical knowledge and understanding of data structures to effectively utilize its extensive features.
Which app is better for a brand new Shopify store?
If the new store immediately plans to focus on wholesale, Faire could be a good option. However, for general data management, or if migration is involved, Matrixify might be more beneficial in the long run.
Can both apps be used together?
Potentially, yes. A merchant could use Matrixify to manage and migrate product data initially, and then use Faire to sell those products wholesale. However, care should be taken to avoid data conflicts and ensure proper synchronization.
Which app has better customer support?
The provided data does not contain any information regarding customer support quality for either app. Further research would be needed to determine which app offers better support.
Which app is more future-proof?
Matrixify, due to its broad range of functionalities related to data management and integration with multiple platforms, is likely more future-proof. The flexibility it provides for data migration and manipulation ensures its continued relevance as Shopify and e-commerce ecosystems evolve. Faire's future-proofing depends more on the continued popularity of its wholesale marketplace.
