Fantastic Markets Discounts vs Geolocation Express Redirectfor Shopify (2026)
Fantastic Markets Discounts and Geolocation Express Redirect both address internationalization on Shopify, but their approaches and target audiences are vastly different. Fantastic Markets Discounts focuses on creating localized discount strategies. It enables merchants to offer bulk discounts and custom discount codes specific to countries or markets, leveraging Shopify Markets for multicurrency support. This aims to boost sales by tailoring offers to regional preferences. Geolocation Express Redirect, on the other hand, prioritizes traffic management and regional store navigation. It redirects visitors to appropriate regional stores based on their location, blocks unwanted traffic, and offers pop-up suggestions for local stores. This is geared toward merchants with separate international storefronts or those aiming to reduce spam orders and improve user experience for international customers. The core difference lies in whether the merchant wants to manage localized promotions (Fantastic Markets Discounts) or redirect traffic based on geography (Geolocation Express Redirect).

Our Verdict
Choosing between Fantastic Markets Discounts and Geolocation Express Redirect depends on your business goals. If you operate primarily from a single Shopify store and want to boost sales by offering localized discounts and promotions, Fantastic Markets Discounts is likely the better choice, despite its lower rating and limited reviews. It provides tools for creating targeted offers tailored to specific markets.
However, if you manage multiple regional Shopify stores or are primarily concerned with directing traffic to the appropriate storefront or reducing spam, Geolocation Express Redirect is the more suitable solution. Its higher rating (though based on a single review) and focus on geolocation-based redirection and traffic blocking make it ideal for businesses with distinct international operations.
