Our Verdict
Fast Simon AI Search & Filters is the clear choice for merchants looking to overhaul their store's search functionality and improve the overall shopping experience. Its AI-powered features, personalization options, and merchandising tools make it suitable for larger stores focused on driving sales and maximizing ROI. However, if a merchant simply needs to hide a few specific products from search results for particular scenarios like free gifts or internal fees, Search Veil is a more targeted and likely more cost-effective solution. It's important to consider the specific needs and goals of the store when choosing between these two apps; one focuses on expansion and broad improvement, while the other focuses on precise restriction.
Common Questions
What type of store is Fast Simon AI Search & Filters best suited for?
Fast Simon is best suited for larger Shopify stores with a large product catalog and a focus on increasing sales through improved search, merchandising, and personalization. Stores that prioritize advanced features and ROI tracking will benefit most.
What type of store is Search Veil best suited for?
Search Veil is ideal for smaller stores or even larger stores with very specific use cases where they need to hide certain products from appearing in search results, such as products only intended as free gifts or products representing internal fees.
Is Fast Simon AI Search & Filters a replacement for Search Veil?
No. While Fast Simon significantly enhances search functionality, it does not specifically offer the ability to completely hide products from search results in the same way that Search Veil does. If hiding specific products is essential, Search Veil would still be necessary even with Fast Simon installed. It depends on the use case: is it optimizing for discoverability, or deliberately preventing it?
Does Search Veil improve my store's search engine ranking?
No. Search Veil focuses on hiding products from internal search results and preventing them from being indexed by external search engines. This is not intended to improve overall SEO but rather to control product visibility within the store and on search engines like Google.
Can I use both Fast Simon AI Search & Filters and Search Veil at the same time?
Yes, you can. Fast Simon enhances the overall search experience, while Search Veil allows you to control the visibility of specific products. They address different needs and can complement each other. For example, Fast Simon can improve the search experience for the products you *want* people to find, while Search Veil hides products that shouldn't be discoverable.
