Fastr: SMS & Email Marketing vs Yozo AI: Email, SMS & WA Agentfor Shopify (2026)
Fastr: SMS & Email Marketing and Yozo AI: Email, SMS & WA Agent both aim to enhance Shopify merchants' marketing capabilities, particularly in abandoned cart recovery. Fastr emphasizes a multi-channel approach with SMS, email, push notifications, and popups, touting its ease of use and pre-built automation flows. It positions itself as a simpler alternative to Klaviyo, Mailchimp, and SMSBump. Fastr seems geared towards merchants who want to quickly implement various marketing channels with minimal coding. Yozo AI, on the other hand, focuses on complete automation through an AI conversational agent managing Email, WhatsApp, and SMS campaigns. It claims to handle content creation and campaign design, targeting merchants seeking hands-off marketing with a strong focus on AI-driven solutions. While Fastr offers more manual control and channel diversity, Yozo AI pitches a fully automated, AI-powered experience. The main difference lies in the level of hands-on involvement required from the merchant. Fastr requires the merchant to configure the flows, while Yozo AI's selling point is it manages the end-to-end process. The number of reviews reflects a significant difference in adoption, with Fastr having substantially more feedback, suggesting a more established user base, although the lower rating compared to Yozo AI may indicate areas for improvement. Yozo AI is more focused on WhatsApp integration as a unique point of difference. Choosing between the two depends on a merchant's specific needs and preferences. If a merchant wants a more traditional set up with more channels and wants more hands-on control, Fastr could be a better option. On the other hand, for merchants looking for a completely hands-off AI approach and integration with WhatsApp, Yozo AI might be the right choice, assuming they are comfortable entrusting their marketing to an AI agent.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a broad approach with several channels and pre-built features that they can customize and control, Fastr is likely the better option. The higher number of reviews, despite a lower rating, also suggests a larger user base and more readily available support or community. However, merchants who are ready to fully embrace AI-driven marketing and want a truly hands-off solution, particularly those targeting WhatsApp users, may find Yozo AI more appealing. The lack of reviews for Yozo AI indicates that it is a younger app that is likely less proven, but the perfect rating does suggest users that have tried it have found it valuable. In either case, merchants should prioritize trials or demo periods to assess suitability.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Both apps claim to be easy to set up. Fastr suggests setup can be done in minutes, emphasizing simplicity. Yozo AI emphasizes 'zero setup hurdles'. Given that Yozo AI uses AI to do campaign and content creation, setup is probably marginally easier.
Which app is better for merchants who are already familiar with email marketing?
Fastr would likely be a better choice for merchants familiar with email marketing, as it allows them to control and customize email flows and automations. Yozo AI's AI might take away that control, which is unappealing if you have strong opinions on what is needed.
Which app has better customer support?
It is difficult to determine which app has better customer support based solely on the information provided. However, given Fastr has more reviews it is likely the more mature app, but reviews are not an indication of better support.
Does Yozo AI require human intervention for campaign creation and execution?
Yozo AI advertises itself as requiring 'zero hassle', so theoretically no human intervention is necessary for campaign creation and execution once the initial setup is complete. But the merchant should periodically review the campaigns.
Which app is better for abandoned cart recovery?
Both apps highlight abandoned cart recovery as a primary feature. Yozo AI emphasizes simplicity through its AI agent, whereas Fastr focuses on the effectiveness of multi-channel reminders (SMS, email, push). Fastr might be superior for multi-channel abandonment recovery, but both claim to do it very well.
