Fav Etsy Reviews vs Rocket Google Reviewsfor Shopify (2026)
Fav Etsy Reviews and Rocket Google Reviews cater to distinct Shopify merchant needs in 2026. Fav Etsy Reviews focuses on importing credibility *from Etsy*. Its strength lies in seamlessly transferring existing seller and product reviews from an Etsy shop to a Shopify store, ideal for merchants transitioning or expanding from Etsy. It emphasizes ease of use and a direct transfer of existing positive Etsy reputation to a new Shopify store, requiring no coding knowledge. The small number of reviews, however, raises concerns about statistical reliability. Rocket Google Reviews, on the other hand, targets merchants who want to display Google reviews on their Shopify store, leveraging Google's existing review infrastructure. It appears to be a more established option with a significantly larger user base, suggesting broader applicability. While both apps aim to build trust through social proof, their sources of reviews—Etsy vs. Google—define their distinct value propositions.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants who have built a strong reputation on Etsy and want to quickly and easily transfer that social proof to their new Shopify store, Fav Etsy Reviews offers a specialized solution. The one-click import and lack of coding requirements are compelling advantages for this niche. However, the extremely limited number of reviews should be carefully considered; the rating might not be statistically representative. For merchants without a significant Etsy presence or those who want to leverage the broader reach and credibility of Google Reviews, Rocket Google Reviews is the more suitable choice. The higher review count suggests a more robust and widely adopted solution, though the specific features need to be investigated further.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Fav Etsy Reviews explicitly states "one-click review import, no tech skill required." Rocket Google Reviews does not provide similar claims, but it can be assumed that they are both relatively easy to setup.
Which app is better for a brand new Shopify store with no prior reviews anywhere?
Neither app is ideal for a brand new store. Fav Etsy Reviews relies on existing Etsy reviews, and Rocket Google Reviews relies on existing Google Reviews. A review app that generates reviews might be more suitable.
What if I have both Etsy and Google reviews; which app should I choose?
You'd likely need *both* apps, or look for a unified review solution that supports multiple sources if that becomes available by 2026. Fav Etsy Reviews is specific to Etsy, and Rocket Google Reviews is specific to Google.
Is Fav Etsy Reviews reliable with only 5 reviews?
The reliability of Fav Etsy Reviews is questionable given only 5 reviews. This could be due to it being a very new app or having limited users. It's crucial to investigate further or wait for more user feedback before relying heavily on this small sample size.
How Customizable are the reviews widgets for each app?
Fav Etsy Reviews claims "Fully customizable layout and style". Rocket Google Reviews does not mention customizability based on the provided data.
