Our Verdict
For merchants struggling with organizing a large product catalog and aiming to improve their website's SEO and navigation, FDL Breadcrumbs & Collections is the more suitable choice. Its focus on creating subcollections and breadcrumbs provides a structured way for customers to find products and helps search engines understand the website's architecture. However, due to the limited number of reviews, it's essential to consider this when assessing reliability. On the other hand, if a merchant's priority is to offer immediate customer support and simplify communication channels like WhatsApp and phone calls to drive sales, Floatify: Social & CTA Buttons is the better option. Its higher review count provides more social proof, suggesting a more established track record, and aligns well with businesses focused on customer engagement and direct interaction. A store looking to focus on site architecture and improved SEO would prefer FDL while a store wanting to provide immediate customer support would prefer Floatify.
Common Questions
Which app is better for SEO?
FDL Breadcrumbs & Collections explicitly mentions SEO benefits (JSON+LD) through smart internal linking and optimized site structure. Floatify focuses on conversion and customer engagement, which indirectly may impact SEO through lower bounce rates and increased time on site, but it doesn't directly optimize search rankings.
Which app is easier to set up?
Both apps claim to be easy to set up. FDL Breadcrumbs & Collections highlights its drag-and-drop interface, while Floatify claims a 1-minute setup with no coding. User reviews would ultimately determine which app is truly easier for a given merchant.
Which app is more visually customizable?
Floatify offers customization options for button appearance, allowing merchants to create eye-catching buttons to attract customers. While FDL provides a visual collection tree, the focus is on organization rather than visual customization.
Which app is more suitable for mobile users?
Floatify explicitly mentions optimizing button display on all devices, suggesting a focus on mobile responsiveness. While FDL's breadcrumbs should be responsive, Floatify's floating buttons are designed to be readily accessible on smaller screens and facilitate immediate action.
Are these apps mutually exclusive, or can they be used together?
These apps address different needs and can be used together. A merchant could use FDL Breadcrumbs & Collections to improve site navigation and SEO, and simultaneously use Floatify to provide immediate customer support and communication channels. However, merchants should ensure that the combination of apps doesn't negatively impact site speed or user experience.
