Firepush ‑ SMS & Web Push vs HiTide: Grow your SMS Listfor Shopify (2026)
Firepush and HiTide are SMS marketing apps for Shopify, but they cater to different needs and have distinct approaches. Firepush is an all-in-one solution that focuses on cart recovery and customer re-engagement through both SMS and web push notifications. It emphasizes automation and multi-channel campaigns. HiTide, on the other hand, specializes in growing SMS lists through Instagram DM automation, integrating with other established SMS platforms like Attentive and Klaviyo. It's geared towards social media-driven SMS marketing growth. Firepush offers a broader feature set for complete SMS and web push marketing. HiTide is more niche, concentrating on leveraging Instagram for SMS list acquisition. Firepush aims to drive revenue by retargeting and personalizing notifications. HiTide focuses on acquiring subscribers through engagement and incentives on Instagram. While both aim to enhance sales, Firepush directly manages campaigns while HiTide provides a source for leads that can then be engaged with using existing SMS marketing services.

Our Verdict
For merchants who want a complete SMS and web push marketing solution, Firepush is the better option. It's an all-in-one platform that helps recover abandoned carts and re-engage customers with personalized texts and web notifications. Its automated notification features make it ideal for a more hands-off approach.
However, HiTide is a good choice for merchants specifically focused on growing their SMS lists through Instagram. If a merchant has a strong Instagram presence and already uses an SMS marketing platform like Klaviyo or Attentive, HiTide can provide a targeted and efficient means of acquiring new subscribers.
