Firework Shoppable Video & UGC vs XO Insert Codefor Shopify (2026)
Firework Shoppable Video & UGC and XO Insert Code, while both categorized under 'Content' on Shopify, serve vastly different purposes. Firework focuses on enhancing the customer experience and driving sales through engaging shoppable video content. It aims to help merchants create and distribute interactive video experiences, integrating with platforms like Klaviyo to leverage video interactions for personalized marketing. In contrast, XO Insert Code provides a technical solution for merchants to inject custom code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Liquid) directly into their Shopify store's pages and templates without needing advanced coding knowledge. Firework's target audience is merchants seeking to leverage visual storytelling and interactive content to increase engagement and conversions. Its key value proposition lies in its shoppable video capabilities, UGC integration, and analytics. XO Insert Code, on the other hand, is aimed at merchants who need to add custom functionality, tracking pixels, or verification tags to their store but lack direct access to the theme's code or prefer a simplified interface. It prioritizes ease of use and flexibility in code insertion across various store sections. Ultimately, Firework is about enhancing the customer journey with engaging video content, while XO Insert Code is about enabling technical customizations and integrations.

Our Verdict
For merchants looking to leverage video to drive sales and increase customer engagement through interactive shoppable experiences, Firework Shoppable Video & UGC is the clear choice. Its integrations with platforms like Klaviyo and its built-in analytics provide a comprehensive solution for video marketing. However, if a merchant needs to add custom code like tracking pixels, analytics scripts, or verification tags without directly editing their theme's code, XO Insert Code is the more appropriate solution. Its simplicity and ease of use make it ideal for non-technical users needing to customize their store's functionality.
XO Insert Code would be a better recommendation for a smaller business needing to get a Facebook pixel installed quickly with little technical experience, where Firework would be best for a mid-sized brand looking to drive revenue with video campaigns and integrations with existing martech like Klaviyo.
