FitIQ ‑ Try it On vs Sherpas: Smart SEOfor Shopify (2026)
FitIQ ‑ Try it On and Sherpas: Smart SEO are both 5-star rated apps in the Shopify app store, though they cater to drastically different needs and target audiences. FitIQ likely focuses on enhancing the shopping experience through virtual try-on features (implied by the name), aiming to increase conversion rates by allowing customers to visualize products on themselves. In contrast, Sherpas: Smart SEO positions itself as a comprehensive SEO solution for Shopify stores. It helps merchants improve their search engine rankings, drive organic traffic, and boost sales through tools like AI-powered meta tag generation, image optimization, and structured data implementation. The key difference lies in their functionalities. FitIQ addresses a specific user experience issue—visualization of products, particularly apparel and accessories. Sherpas, on the other hand, offers a broader suite of tools aimed at improving a store's overall SEO health and discoverability. While FitIQ likely requires integration with product images or camera access, Sherpas leverages AI and automation to streamline complex SEO tasks. The discrepancy in the number of reviews (2 vs. 842) also suggests that Sherpas has a much larger and more established user base. Sherpas: Smart SEO boasts several distinct features like AI-powered meta tag generation (using ChatGPT-4 Turbo), automated broken link detection, and detailed backlink reports. These tools offer merchants comprehensive control over their SEO strategy, empowering them to optimize their store for search engines.

Our Verdict
If your primary goal is to enhance the customer shopping experience by allowing them to virtually 'try on' products, and you sell items where visualization is critical, FitIQ ‑ Try it On might be worth exploring despite the limited number of reviews. Given the name and category, this is the likely use-case. However, proceed with caution due to the low review count.
On the other hand, if you're focused on improving your store's SEO, driving organic traffic, and boosting sales through search engine optimization, Sherpas: Smart SEO is the clear choice. Its comprehensive feature set, coupled with a large and positive user base (indicated by the high number of reviews), makes it a more reliable and well-vetted option. It's likely beneficial to a wider range of merchants.
